Sustainability Tour to Berlin for University Students

Example study tour

Berlin often features in the list of Europe's most sustainable cities.

With a typically young population, many green spaces and a preference for public transport, it's easy to see why Berlin is a fascinating destination for anyone with an interest in sustainability and climate change.

At StudyLink, we've pleased to offer a great range of visits and tours to help your students to learn about circular economies and how businesses are striving towards the sustainable development goals.

So, whether you’re looking to add sustainability-focussed visits to your faculty-led field trips, or plan to develop entire short-term mobility programmes focussed on the topic of sustainability, we can put together an informative and educational Berlin group travel package to meet your needs.

Day 1 - Arrive in Berlin

After boarding a daytime flight to Berlin, the group will be met by our coach for transfer to their accommodation.

Staying at a centrally-located hotel, on a B&B basis, the group will have free time in the event to explore and familiarise themselves with the local area.

Day 2 - Circular Economy Tour

Continental breakfast served at the hotel.

The group will then get to take part in a Circular Economy Tour of Berlin. During the two and a half hour tour, students will learn about the principles of a circular economy, get to know the most creative circular products & start-ups in Berlin, explore new recycling processes, dive into sustainable consumption and discover ways to keep resources in closed loops in our daily lives.

Choose by topic from:

  • Fashion & Textiles - Circular economy for textiles, upcycling fashion, zero waste design, fabrics from new materials & much more.
  • Food & Urban Farming - New ways to “feed” our city,  stop food waste, cook with leftovers, preserve bacteria, anti-food waste technology
  • Circular City - Reused urban spaces, circular architecture, future design labs, transition towns, experimental communities - Berlin's got it all.

In the evening the group will have free time to enjoy dinner in one of the city's local restaurants.

The group will get to take part in a company visit to suit the learning outcomes of their course.

Examples of our sustainable company visits are:

They come with a 24-month full-service guarantee for all repairs and redyes. Silfir's 100% recyclable garments can also be returned for full recycling by Silfir.
