The University of Derby required a group travel package to a Moroccan city where students could develop skills in field techniques, observation skills, data analysis and presentation, teamwork and life skills.

Custom-made 11-day itinerary to Morocco
Day 1 - Arrive in Marrakech & Essaouira
After boarding a daytime flight to Menara, the group was met by our coach provider for transportation to their accommodation. Staying at the Hotel 3 Palmiers, the group was based near Menara Airport and within walking distance of Marrakech Plaza and the Carré Eden Shopping Center.
Free time was scheduled in the evening for students to explore the nearby area and taste the local cuisine.
Day 2 – Mosque of the Koutoubia
Continental breakfast served at the hotel, group then met the our Local Guide at the Mosque of the Koutoubia for half day guided tour of Marrakech.
Mosque of the Koutoubia is the largest mosque in Marrakesh, and is an architectural marvel admired by students for its scalloped keystone arches, jagged merlons and mathematically pleasing proportions. Built by Almoravid architects, students can investigate the techniques used by the 11th century Berber Muslim dynasty.
Free time scheduled for group to their own arrangements for the late-afternoon and evening.
Day 3 - Kabsah Toubkal - Group-planned activity
Continental breakfast served at the hotel. Group checked-out of Hotel 3 Palmiers and travelled to Kabsah Toubkal for 1 night.

Evening meal served at accommodation.
Day 4 - Karam Palace - Group-planned activity
Continental breakfast served at the hotel. Group checked-out of Kabsah Toubkal and travelled to Karam Palace for 1 night.

Day 5 - Tented Camp Pacha - Group-planned activity

Day 8 to 10 – Hotel Miramar - Group-planned activity

Day 11 – Return to Luton Airport
Continental breakfast served at the hotel, the group were met by our coach provider at their accommodation and travelled to Mogador airport, arriving at Luton Airport mid-afternoon.
