Teesside University required a group travel package to Barcelona for students to visit Circuit de Catalunya and develop their testing skills, specifically in Formula 1, in an environment that relies on teamwork.
StudyLink created a 4-day study tour package to Barcelona, enabling students to observe industrial techniques and processes within the automobile sector. Students were given the opportunity to develop their designing, modelling and prototype producing skills whilst gaining a better understanding of the equipment and machinery used in the industry.

Custom-made 4-day itinerary to Barcelona
Day 1 - Arrive in Barcelona
The group travelled by train to Newcastle Airport where they boarded a morning flight to Barcelona. After arriving at the airport, the group was met by our coach provider for transportation to their accommodation.
Staying at the Barcelona Urbany Hostel, the group was based in the commercial district of the city and within walking distance of the world-famous Sagrada Família church and the Torre Agbar.
Day 2 - Group-planned Activity
Continental breakfast served at the hotel.
The group chose to arrange their own activities including meals and transport, however StudyLink can pre-book visits and dinner reservations, including the Sagrada Família church and the Restaurante Moka.
Day 3 - SEAT Factory
Continental breakfast served at the hotel, group then travelled by coach to SEAT Factory in Martorell for a confirmed visit pre-arranged by StudyLink.
SEAT Factory is the headquarters and main engineering facility for the automobile manufacturer, SEAT. It is an impressive industrial complex that hosts a range of facilities from SEAT’s technical centre, research and development centre, design centre and prototypes centre of development. Guided tours of the complex allow students to see first-hand how products evolves from an idea and the process involved to complete a design.
Day 4 - Return to Newcastle Airport & Middlesbrough Station
Continental breakfast served at the hotel, the group was met by our coach provider at their accommodation and travelled to El Prat De Llobregat Airport, arriving at Newcastle Airport mid-afternoon.
They continued their journey by train from Newcastle Station to Middlesbrough Station.
