Staffordshire University required a group travel package to facilitate a visit to MCM Comic Con in London, where students could participate in Cosplay and observe the styles and techniques used by comic creators, writers and artists.

StudyLink created a 3-day study tour package to London, enabling students to expand their modern pop culture portfolio by inspiring creativity, strengthening communication skills and testing a selection of tools used to design comic art.

Day 1 - Arrive in London

The group made their way to Stoke Station where they boarded a pre-booked train to Euston Station. After arriving in London, the group travelled to the centrally-located Generator Hostel where they stayed for 2 nights.

Free time was scheduled in the afternoon and evening for students to explore the nearby area and take in the sights.

Day 2 - Group-planned activity

Continental breakfast served at the hotel.

The group chose to arrange their own activities including meals and transport, however StudyLink can pre-book visits, dinner reservations and transport tickets.

 

Day 3 - MCM Comic Con

Continental breakfast served at the hotel. Group travelled by pre-booked London Underground to MCM Comic Con.

MCM Comic Con is a speculative fiction fan convention held in the London Borough of Newham that invites guests from across the country to interact with fellow sci-fi, cosplay and comic artists. Students are given the opportunity to discover a village of stalls offering unique insight into the world of comics and the skills required to establish a career in the field.

The group travelled by London Underground to Euston station to board their return train to Stoke Station.
