Inspire their future career at our Media LIVE! conference on Monday 2nd March 2020. Bring media studies to life for your students and fire their future career ambitions by showing them the many different paths a career in media could take at our Media LIVE! conference - all whilst enjoying the magic of Disneyland® Paris!
Leading industry experts will deliver presentations to give a unique insight into the media business, offering real life experiences to ignite your students’ aspirations whilst perfectly complementing the curriculum at KS5. Students can also put their own questions to the experts during a Q&A session.

Maddie Moate, TV Presenter & YouTube Filmmaker
Maddie Moate is a YouTube filmmaker and BAFTA award winning presenter, passionate about curiosity. She has been presenting science and tech content online for the past six years and has amassed over 18 million views on her YouTube films across multiple channels. She is the host of the hit CBeebies series Do You Know?, and has also appeared on Springwatch Wild Academy, Cloud Challenge and This Morning.
During the event, Maddie will highlight how and when to use new media to engage with an audience and how to become an influencer in the digital sphere.
Naomi Sesay, On-Screen Diversity Executive with Channel 4
Graduating with a BA (Hons) in European Business Management, Naomi went onto work for MTV News as a Producer/Director and Presenter at the height of MTV Europe's popularity. During her 15 years in television, Naomi also worked as one of the first Producers of Channel 4's 'Big Brother'.
Having spent 15 years in television, Naomi decided to make the switch from a career in broadcast media to becoming a successful property investor, mentor and trainer within the wealth creation arena.
Her journey has culminated in taking to the stage as an inspirational speaker, a thought leader and an entrepreneur who oozes a unique energy from the first moment you meet her.
Owner of the Billionaire Ladies Club, a growing global network of highly aspirational women looking to transform the world through entrepreneurship, Naomi has fascinated audiences with the essence of what really makes digital communications so powerful, why digital innovation is such an important tool of reconnection & identity and what every digital marketer needs to know before structuring a communication program.
It is therefore hardly surprising that so many people, especially women, have approached her for mentoring.
Currently, Naomi is the On Screen Diversity Executive with Channel 4. She has delivered training for an array of organisations including, BAFTA, ITN, ITV, BBC, Turner, Viacom, Primesight, Sky TV, Campaign Magazine and many more. She has also worked with Educational programs, schools, charities, Her Majesty's Prison Services and corporate entities.
As a speaker, Naomi broadly covers two topics: Diversity and Wealth Creation.

A key part of the event day is the judging of the media competition. We provide the brief for your students to showcase their talent. Submit a piece of work prior to the event which will be shown at the conference and judged by our panel of speakers. As well as the kudos of being awarded the winner by industry professionals the winning entry will win a prize for their school!
Suitable for Key Stage 5 - meeting exam board specifications for AQA, OCR, EDEXCEL, WJEC and SQA.
In order to help you prepare for the Media LIVE! Event, you will receive supplementary information about how each speaker will link to the curriculum as well as a list of desired outcomes. This can be used to follow up with your students when you return.
It is a real pleasure to participate in Media LIVE!, especially alongside such an interesting range of industry speakers. Places to stay
This Western-themed hotel is modern, pleasantly decorated and fairly spacious with a prairie style decor. Catering mainly for school groups visiting Disney offering a good standard of accommodation.
Located on the outskirts of Paris. The nearest train station is Gare de Marne-la-Vallée - Chessy station - 20 minute walking distance. Only a 15 minute walk from Disneyland® Paris or a regular free 5 minute shuttle bus service.
B&B Hotel Paris Disneyland
A very large hotel with 400 rooms, located in Marne La Vallée close to Paris Disneyland. It is a very modern, designer-style hotel with nicely-decorated and comfortable rooms.
Only a few minutes from Disneyland Paris, this large hotel is ideally situated for groups travelling to Disneyland, and is recommended by Disneyland Paris. A free shuttle stops in front of the hotel every 10-15 minutes to get to either the Disney® Parks or TGV / RER Chessy Marne La Vallée station, for Paris, operating from 6.00am until 11:50pm.
