Fine Art University Tour to Venice

Example study tour

A university required a group travel package to facilitate the students’ attendance at the Venice Biennale exhibition. This exhibition offers students the opportunity to experience one of the biggest and most inspirational art events in the world, with some of the university’s staff and student works proudly being displayed amongst the exhibits.

StudyLink created a 5-day study tour package to Venice, enabling students to explore the pavilions within the two locations of the event; the Giardini and the Arsenale.

Day 1 - Arrive in Venice

The group was met by our coach provider at the university campus and transferred to Manchester International airport.

After boarding an early afternoon flight to Venice, the group was met by our representative and coach provider for coach and Vaperetto transfer to their accommodation.

Their accommodation for 4 nights was the Casa per Ferie la Pieta Bed & Venice in the historical district of Venice. The group was perfectly located to local restaurants and within minutes of the Bridge of Sighs and St. Mark's Basilica.

Free time was scheduled in the evening for students to explore the nearby area and taste the local cuisine.

Day 2 to 4 – Group-planned activity

Continental breakfast served at the hotel.

The group chose to arrange their own activities, including visiting the pavilions at Venice Biennale exhibition. However, StudyLink can pre-book subject-specific and cultural visits, make dinner reservations and book public transport tickets.

Day 5 – Return to East Midlands Airport

Continental breakfast served at the hotel.

The group checked out of the accommodation. Our StudyLink representative met the group at the hotel and assisted the group with obtaining their water taxis.

The group were met by our coach provider at Tronchetto coach parking for transfer to the airport, for their afternoon flight back to East Midlands Airport.

They were met by StudyLink representatives who guided them through customs to the baggage claim area and then escorted them to their waiting coach.  They were then transported back to the university campus.

The Generator Venice

Generator Venice stands on the waterfront of the island of Giudecca, one short stop on the Vapporetto from Piazza San Marco. The hotel is a 200-year old Venetian Palazzo that was used as a grain house in the 1800s, and the building blends its history and character with contemporary design features.
