Nottingham Trent University required a group travel package to Malta where students could develop skills in field techniques, observation skills, data analysis and presentation, and teamwork and life skills.

Custom-made 5-day itinerary to Malta

Day 1 - Arrive in Malta

After boarding a daytime flight to Luqa Airport, the group was met by our coach provider for transportation to their accommodation.

Staying at the Palazzin Hotel, the group was based in a quiet area of St. Paul’s Bay within walking distance of the beach and just 100 yards from the panoramic Qawra and Bugibba seaside promenades.

Free time was scheduled in the evening for students to explore the nearby area and taste the local cuisine. 

 

Day 2 - The Malta Experience Show & Hospital Tour

Continental breakfast served at the hotel, group then travelled by coach to The Malta Experience Show & Hospital Tour for a confirmed booking, coach on-hand all day for the group to use at their discretion. 

The Malta Experience is an audio-visual show that tells the dramatic story of the islands’ 7000 year history. Educational, informative and entertaining, the show runs through the turbulent history of a small island nation that has overcome almost unimaginable odds to survive and prosper.

The Hospital, known as La Sacra Infermeria, allows students to examine the building, which is over 400 hundred years' old, and wander around its historical arched passageways.

Group embarked on a harbour cruise to take in the sights of Malta and marvel at their Baroque architecture.

Day 3 - Group-planned activity

Continental breakfast served at the hotel, group arranged their own activities for the day with a coach on-hand all day for the group to use at their discretion.

 

Day 4 - Group-planned Activity & Browns Restaurant

Continental breakfast served at the hotel, group arranged their own activities for the day with a coach on-hand all day for the group to use at their discretion.

Pre-booked dinner reservation arranged for the group at Browns Restaurant.

Day 5 - Return to East Midlands Airport

Continental breakfast served at the hotel, the group were met by our coach provider at their accommodation and travelled to Luqa Airport, arriving at East Midlands Airport mid-afternoon.
