Outdoor Adventure Activities for Students
Active Wellbeing day trip programme
Example study tour
Our Active Wellbeing day trips are designed to help you support your students’ mental health and wellbeing, through a planned programme of challenging and inspiring outdoor adventure activities.
There are numerous benefits of outdoor adventure activities for university students:
- Engaging in outdoor adventure activities can help to lower stress and anxiety - which helps to improve mental health after a challenging period.
- Outdoor adventure activities can develop resilience and mental toughness - crucial skills that will benefit them during their time at university and in their future careers.
- Taking your students to an unfamiliar environment can allow them to connect with each other, allowing them to build an important network of peers.
- Acquiring new skills can help to improve your students’ self-confidence. The outdoor challenges they face allows them to explore different ways to succeed.
- After periods where they may have experienced restrictions on movement, the freedom of the outdoors allows time for them to appreciate the world around them and promote a sense of wellbeing.
