International Law University Tour to the Hague

University of Derby required a group travel package to facilitate a visit to the Hague, where Law students could gain practical experience of international law.


StudyLink created a 4-day study tour package to the Hague, enabling students to benefit from the  Peace Palace’s educational program, tailored workshops and attendance at a hearing at the International Criminal Court; all designed to meet the students’ learning objectives.

Custom-made 4-day itinerary to the Hague

Day 1 - Arrive in the Hague

The group made their own way to Birmingham International Airport where they boarded the flight  for Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. The group were picked up by coach for transfer to Stayokay Den Haag where they stayed for 3 nights, with bed and breakfast accommodation. In the afternoon, the group arrived at the Binnenhof for a guided tour and visit to the House of Representatives. 

Day 2 - The Peace Palace

The students visited the Peace Palace where they undertook an educational program designed to meet the lecturer’s learning requirements. The rest of the day the students were free to make their own arrangements.

Day 3 - International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia

The students visited the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. This visit has since closed, but StudyLink can arrange alternative visits for your students, including a tailored learning program at the Association of Defence Counsel (ADC).

Day 4 - International Criminal Court

Check out of the hotel after breakfast followed by visiting the International Criminal Court for a live hearing. Coach transfer was arranged for the group back to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport for their flight back to Birmingham International Airport.
