Nuyorican Poets Cafe

The first poetry slam ever in New York City was held at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in 1989; it’s become part of the cultural history of the city and is still going strong today. A poetry slam at the Nuyorican is truly poetry of and by the people. Let your students experience an evening of amazing performers and heart-stopping performances. Creative Writing 101

This creative writing workshop will guide your students into the writing life. Expand their powers of observation, imagination, and language. The Statue of Liberty Cruise & Ellis Island Immigration Museum

Alongside the ultimate landmark of New York and one of the most universal symbols of political freedom and democracy, the Ellis Island Museum is dedicated to the history of immigration and the important role this island claimed during the mass migration of humanity in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
