Custom-made 3-day itinerary to London

Day 1 - Arrive in London & the Wellcome Collection

The group will be picked up at the university campus by coach for their journey to London.

After arriving in London, the coach will drop the group off at their accommodation, the centrally-located YHA London St Pancras Hostel where they will stay for 2 nights.

In the afternoon, the group will take a short walk to their pre-booked visit at the Wellcome Collection, where they can explore the museum and discover the connections between medicine, life and art in the past, present and future.

Free time will be scheduled in the evening for students to explore the nearby area and take in the sights.

Day 2 - The Migration Museum & Bethlem Museum of the Mind

Continental breakfast served at the hostel.

The group will be picked up by coach for transport to their pre-booked morning visit to the Migration Museum. The Migration Museum explores how the movement of people to and from Britain across the ages has made us who we are today, both as individuals and as a nation.

In the afternoon, the group will be collected by coach and transferred to their afternoon visit at Bethlem Museum of the Mind. Bethlem Hospital is Europe’s first and oldest institution to specialise in mental illness. The hospital museum, Museum of the Mind, offers a presentation on the hospital and the history of treatment, followed by a Q & A session.

After their visits, the group will be dropped off at their accommodation and have the evening free to discover the local restaurants and attractions.

Day 3 - London medical walking tour & return to university

Continental breakfast served at the hostel.

In the morning the students take part in a pre-arranged London Medical Walking Tour, where they can explore sites of medical interest around the city.

In the afternoon, the group will board their coach for transfer back to the university campus.
