Architecture in London

Example study tour

For groups of architecture students, we have created an example group travel package to London, that will enable students to explore the city's unique buildings and future sustainable development plans.

During this 3-day study tour package to London, students will have time to visit New London Architecture to see the 3D plans for the city, take part in a Sustainable Architecture Tour, and discover how the original Shakespeare's Globe was recreated during a 23-year period building project.

Take a look at all of our London College & University Trips.

Custom-made 3-day itinerary to London

Day 1 - Arrive in London

The group will be picked up at the university campus by coach for their journey to London.

After arriving in London, the coach will drop the group off at their accommodation, the centrally-located Generator London where they will stay for 2 nights.

Free time will be scheduled in the afternoon and evening for students to explore the nearby area and take in the sights.

Day 2 - New London Architecture & Shakespeare's Globe

Continental breakfast served at the hostel.

Using their pre-booked public transport tickets, the group will make their own way to the first visit; New London Architecture. During their visit, the group gets to explore their latest exhibitions and preview the future shape of the capital through the giant 3Dmodel of central London.

In the afternoon, the group will make their way to their pre-arranged visit at Shakespeare's Globe. Taking 23 years to complete, the new Shakespeare's Globe replicates the design and building materials used on the original, as closely as possible.

Free time would be scheduled in the evening for students to explore the nearby area and take in the sights.

Day 3 - Sustainable architecture tour & return to university

Continental breakfast served at the hostel.

In the morning, the group will get to take part in a two-hour walking tour looking at the past, present, and future of sustainable architecture in a city with some of the tightest planning regulations in the world.

Covering the balance of heritage concern, developmental interest and sustainable practice, the tour explores the green sides to some of London’s most well-known skyscrapers as well as some lesser-known sites.

In the afternoon, the students will board their coach, for their return journey back to the university.
