Bank of England Museum

The museum, housed within the Bank of England, traces the history of the bank from its foundation in 1694 to its role today as the nation’s central bank. The bank has had the responsibility of setting interest rates to control inflation since 1997, and also issues bank notes and works to maintain a stable financial system.  

Fuller’s Griffin Brewery

Established in 1845, this company is famous for its beer, pubs and hotels and is one of the UK’s largest independent brewers and retailers. As London’s only remaining traditional family brewer, this tour offers a fantastic opportunity for pupils over 16 years old to experience the history and heritage of a successful business that trades on the merits of both its products and its service.

Guided Walking Tour of London City / Financial District

These two hour walks are geared to giving pupils an understanding of how the City has changed from its original commercial trading into arguably the world’s most diverse financial centre, with stocks, shares, bonds, gilts, hedge funds, investment banking, specialist and mainstream insurance, the largest foreign currency exchange market on the planet and all the “support” businesses that enable it to function like law, accountancy and assurance firms.

London Dungeon

The London Dungeon has been delighting audiences for over 40 years and brings together an amazing cast of theatrical actors, special effects, scenes and rides in an exciting walk-through experience that lets you see, hear and smell historic London and its perilous past. Get pupils thinking about spoken language and stage directions as they review script writing and explore the physical creation of a show as they look at the design process, including room layout, make-up and costume design and highlight the importance of historical accuracy in relation to topic, characters and set design. 

Science Museum

The Science Museum is packed with awe-inspiring galleries, interactive resources and inspirational exhibitions. Your students can explore the hands-on galleries which cover a wide range of subject areas.

The museum also offers a great selection of curriculum-linked schools events and shows, and stunning 3D films in their IMAX Cinema.

New in 2022 - Technicians: The David Sainsbury Gallery:

Aimed at KS3 & KS4 levels, students will get to explore this gallery and get hands on with interactive exhibits which simulate job-related tasks. Students can experience what it's like to create visual effects on a film set, analyse blood samples in a lab, fix a fault on a wind turbine and plenty more.

Thames River Cruise

Take in London’s best-loved sights on this enjoyable cruise. Your students will gain an insight into the many layers of history that have built up along the river, from the Houses of Parliament and Tower Bridge to the 'lastminute.com' London Eye.

The Business of Wimbledon Guided Tour

This fascinating visit offers pupils an intriguing insight into the business behind Wimbledon to discover how the stadium has become the envy of the tennis world. The Business of Wimbledon guided tour includes a talk about the history of the stadium together with a visit to the museum and tour of the grounds.

The Legacy of London 2012 – Guided Olympic Site Tour

HALF & FULL DAY OPTION AVAILABLE

Come and witness the legacy of London 2012 and see the Olympic Park area following the exciting urban regeneration programme which transformed the face of East London. Your Blue Badge Guide can take you even closer to the venues, driving right next to the Velodrome, the BMX track, and the Olympic and the Paralympic Villages. The coach will travel around the edge of the Olympic Park before making a stop at the Olympic Stadium, the Aquatics Centre and the Orbit. The tour also affords fantastic views of the International Broadcast Centre and the Copper Box venue. Weather permitting, there are opportunities to get off the coach and explore.

You’ll then head to the Royal Docks to view ExCel, which hosted seven Olympic sports and five Paralympic sports. Then to Woolwich to see the magnificent facade of the Royal Artillery Barracks, the venue for shooting and for the Paralympic archery. The tour ends at Greenwich with a walk in the Park where the Equestrian events and the Modern Pentathlon had such a spectacular setting.

A tour of Twickenham Stadium is a fantastic way to discover more about the iconic home of England rugby. You Tour Guides will take you into the hallowed England dressing room, the Royal Box, hospitality suites, medical room and players’ tunnel. 

Business Workshop - Stadium Director. During this workshop, students will analyse how Twickenham Stadium drives income and revenue for the Rugby Football Union, investigate how financial necessities are balanced against human comfort and cultural prestige when planning and developing a modern-day sporting venue, consider the environmental impact and financial implications of construction in an urban environment, discuss the specialist understanding of the interior design and operations of Twickenham Stadium and receive an insight into the history and evolution of Twickenham Stadium.

Award-winning Insider London’s tour of beautiful and unusual hand-picked retail spaces is the ultimate master class in shopping, store design and visual merchandising.  For students with an interest in retail, this tour allows you to sample the coolest and most luxurious shops London has to offer.

The View from The Shard

The View from The Shard offers a unique education experience – it is the only place where students can see the entire city at once; both old and new! Two high speed kaleidoscopic lifts will transport your group to the viewing platforms on Level 69 and Level 72 where you can encourage your student’s fascination with the history of London and enjoy the unparalleled 360 degree views.

Silicon Roundabout / Tech City Guided Walking Tour

This two-hour tour starts at Shoreditch Grind and finishes at Google Campus. Groups will look at how and why such a small area of London is beginning to rival Silicon Valley, and why it has become crucial to the UK’s post-recession recovery. Your pupils will take a first-hand look at the businesses in the area - such as ASOS, Spotify and Zoopla - and your guide will discuss why London and the Silicon Roundabout has an advantage over other global technology clusters.

Learning through enjoyment is our ethos at THORPE PARK Resort. Teachers have the option to book an educational workshop from the award-winning STEM & Business programme that aims to harness students’ excitement and provide the framework to challenge and inspire them.

THORPE PARK Resort can help bring your subject to live with a range of engaging 45-minute talks and interactive hands on workshops for key stages 2-5. 

Tottenham Hotspur Tour and Workshop

Step behind the scenes at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on this immersive, self-guided experience and learn about how the stadium has been designed to create one of the best matchday experiences in the world. Gain exclusive access to First Team areas, as well as the custom-designed NFL facilities. Gain an insight into how the players prepare on a matchday and follow their journey by walking out of the first-team changing rooms, through the tunnel, and into the dugouts - you can almost hear the crowd!

Groups will then experience a 30 min classroom exercise which will offer a unique insight into football operations within the club. The workshop will focus on matchday and non-matchday operations, and pupils will gain an insight in the following areas:
