Irish Museum of Modern Art

One of the most important seventeenth century buildings in Ireland, the Royal Hospital was designed by Sir William Robinson as a home for retired soldiers. In 1991 the restored hospital was opened as a museum. The displayed work generally takes the form of a temporary show and a selection from the permanent exhibition. 

The National Gallery of Ireland

The National Gallery of Ireland houses the national collection of Irish art as well as the collection of European master paintings. It exhibits high quality works from the likes of Titian, Tintoretto, Goya, Monet, Degas and Picasso. Every January a collection of Turner’s watercolours is exhibited.
